"We Should Embrace Who We Are and Support Each Other"
Embracing Our True Selves and Supporting One Another
A principle I hold dear is that "We should embrace who we are and support each other." This sentiment resonates deeply with the teachings of the Bible, specifically in Romans 12:4-5, which states:
"For as we have many members in one body, and all the members do not have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another."
This passage beautifully illustrates the importance of our diverse gifts and roles within the body of believers. It encourages each individual to recognize and embrace their unique contributions, highlighting that our strengths and differences are essential to the unity and strength of our community.
This commitment to embracing diversity is why I choose to work with couples and families of all races, abilities, sexual orientations, and backgrounds. I believe that every individual possesses unique gifts and perspectives that enrich our communities. By fostering an inclusive environment, I aim to create ceremonies that reflect the authentic love stories of each couple, ensuring that everyone feels valued and celebrated. My goal is to support and empower all individuals as they embark on their journeys together, regardless of their circumstances
Meet Minister Corinne Pulliam
Greetings! My name is Corinne Pulliam, and I am a passionate officiant dedicated to helping individuals and couples become the best versions of themselves. Currently in my mid-30s, I am happily married to my wonderful husband, Christopher. While we do not have any pets or children at the moment, we are thoroughly enjoying our life together and look forward to the adventures ahead.
My family plays a crucial role in my life. I have a brother, Johnny, who lives in Pittsburgh with my future sister-in-law, Meagan. Though our work schedules make visiting challenging, I cherish the time we spend together. I maintain a strong relationship with my parents, who have always supported my endeavors and embraced my many adventures. Growing up in Easton, PA, surrounded by family and friends in Northeast Pennsylvania and New Jersey, taught me the importance of community and care. Living with my maternal grandmother and great-aunt instilled in me a deep sense of compassion and responsibility, which would guide my future career path.
From a young age, I was active in various extracurricular activities, including cheerleading, dance, sports, and community service. I played on a co-ed baseball team until the fifth grade, then transitioned to softball, where I honed my skills in teamwork and time management. I also achieved significant milestones in Girl Scouts, earning both my Silver and Gold Awards—honors that only a small percentage of Girl Scouts achieve. These experiences fostered my leadership abilities and reinforced my commitment to serving others.
Dancing, an enduring passion of mine, has provided me with a creative outlet and a way to build social relationships. It taught me perseverance, self-motivation, and the joy of expressing oneself. These early experiences of community engagement laid the groundwork for my lifelong commitment to helping others.
Since 2008, I have worked in the medical field, supporting individuals across a diverse spectrum of abilities in various capacities, including pediatric care, hospice, and elderly care. My passion for genuinely caring for others drives me to help people navigate their most challenging times and create new, positive experiences. I understand the importance of balance in self-care, especially in a profession prone to caregiver burnout, and I prioritize maintaining a fulfilling work-life balance.
My purpose is to empower others to grow, find joy, and live their best lives, regardless of their circumstances. Some of the most substantial experiences of my life have come from my education and relationships, including my marriage to Chris on January 21, 2023. From the moment we said "I do," it has been a beautiful journey filled with laughter and growth.
I take pride in my academic achievements, including being valedictorian in high school and maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout college. My educational journey has taken me through various institutions, such as Career Institute of Technology, Northampton Community College, and Grand Canyon University, as well as through numerous training programs at prestigious institutions like Penn State University, Curtin University in Australia, and the Institute of Continuing Education at the University of Cambridge.
I hold certifications in several key areas, including Touch Therapy, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), and Active Listener training through HearMe!. Currently, I am pursuing additional courses through E.D.X. on topics such as mental health, psychology, and leadership, as I am committed to continuous growth and learning.
You may wonder, "What drives my passion for this work?" While I may not have a singular answer, I have always felt a deep love for people of all races, genders, sexual orientations, and abilities. This passion has been a guiding force throughout my life, dating back to my desire to work with "special people" as early as elementary school.
I began taking OCC courses at the Career Institute of Technology and enrolled in online Better Kid Care classes via Penn State while still in high school, demonstrating my commitment to personal growth and academic excellence.
Some of my professional strengths include a willingness to learn new skills and techniques, as well as a broad knowledge of human services. My genuine compassion informs my work, and I believe that making a positive difference in a client's life gives me purpose. My ultimate goal as a mentor and officiant is to create real, lasting impacts in the lives of others, fostering meaningful connections and empowering people to thrive.
